PAKISTAN / PESHAWAR:
Coldblooded murder of Ahmadi Muslim Professor
Drive-bye shooting by armed men on motorcycle. Five pullets killed victim on the spot.
This morning FOREF Europe interviewed the London based IHRC (International Human Rights Committee). The human rights group shared the following details and the press release (see below):
- Another day another Ahmadi was killed in Peshawar in a religiously motivated attack. Dr. Naeem-ud-dine khattak, a teacher at Superior Science College Peshawar, was on his way back home when some unknown men on a motorcycle opened fire at his car. He died there on spot.
- He has left behind a widow, two sons and three daughters. We offer our deepest condolences to his family. Please remember his family in your prayers. Also remember every Ahmadi in your prayers who is going through such hardship & is victim of persecution & violence.
- Over the past few months, there has been an increase in faith based attacks on Ahmadis. In Peshawar an organized hate campaign has been launched against Ahmadis which has resulted in the killing of three innocent lives. The Government has failed to protect the lives of Ahmadis and nothing is being done to protect Ahmadis.
- We expect that the Govt. and law enforcement agencies will take swift action against the culprits and will make sure that they are held accountable. We also hope the Government will ensure that in future such hate campaign against Ahmadis will be dealt with and take practical measures against them. We expect that the Govt. do not leave these innocent citizens at the disposal of these terrorists.
ANOTHER RUTHLESS MURDER OF AN AHMADI MUSLIM IN PESHAWAR PAKISTAN
LONDON/Oct 5/2020 -Today, another heartbreaking murder of an Ahmadi Muslim took place in Peshawar, Pakistan. Dr. Naeem-ud-dine Khattak (PhD), a professsor at Superior Science College Peshawar, was on his way back home when some unknown men on a motorcycle opened fire at his car. He was shot multiple times, received 5 bullets and died there on the spot. This is the third targeted murder of an Ahmadi within weeks in Peshwar Pakistan.
Hate campaigns and abusive gatherings organized by Khatam-e-Nubuwat and their accomplices have become a norm in Pakistan. It is all happening under the wide-open eyes of the Government officials and law enforcing agencies and yet there is not the slightest move on the part of the authorities to protect Ahmadis and safeguard their freedom of Religion and fundamental human Rights.
We keep the world community informed in the hope that it will take a stern view of these horrific acts of barbarism in Pakistan and assure the safety and security of law abiding and peace-loving members of the Ahmadiyya Community in Pakistan.
